Katie Smith Fund Raising Group

In addition, the group, and individuals, continue to raise funds for the following two charities:

 

The Neuro Foundation - is the main charity in the UK helping to improve the lives of those affected by Neurofibromatosis.  Their website is: www.nfauk.org . They are a small charity who need help in raising money to support the work they do to help those with NF and their families.  Raising awareness and understanding of what NF is & how it affects people like Katie is vital.

 

The Scoliosis Association UK (SAUK) aims to provide advice, support and information to people with scoliosis and other spinal conditions.  Website: www.sauk.org.uk

The Katie Smith Fundraising Group as been set up to raise awareness of both conditions but to also raise funds for Katie’s short & longer term care. In addition we hope to raise money for the two main charities.

 

The Katie Smith Fund: is a group of friends and family who hope to raise funds for individual items which have been identified as being of benefit to Katie’s health & wellbeing. The group, which has a written constitution, organise fundraising activities as well on ongoing awareness campaigns. The group has a bank account with HSBC.

 

The N & J Fabs fundraising cycle 2014: Kevin Waterworth (Davina's cousin) and his two sons Jake (19) and Nathaniel (16) along with some other keen cyclists, will be cycling 142 miles (IN ONE DAY) from Blackpool to Scarborough in order to raise money by sponsorship and donations for The Katie Smith Fundraising Group.
